Homecoming Babes

Last weekend was Nocona's Homecoming. Of course, with Madeline cheering and Dave the official announcer, we all decided to get in on the action. It didn't help- we lost.

Happy Anniversary, My Sweet Daviss

Not everyone is blessed enough to wake up to this face every morning!! Ha ha! Yesterday, the 19th of September, marked 10 years of wedded bliss for Dave and me. As we sat eating dinner at Maggiano's in Plano, we could hardly believe that at that moment-7:00PM- ten years ago, we were saying "I do." So much has happened and we have come so far in the last ten years. Three kids, an amazing ministry, a great house, homeschooling, and on and on. God has surely blessed our union and continues to do so.
I am still so in love with you, Daviss, and you still make me happy. You challenge me and love me in ways I never thought I could be loved. I don't know how you do it, but you stick with me through thick and thin, and you seem to find the patience! You are an amazing man of God, a wonderful husband and awesome father. I know how blessed I am to have you in my life and call you mine. God knew exactly what I needed, and He delivered. I only wish every woman could have what I have in you. You love us and take care of us and put us first. Everything you do is for the Lord and for His purpose in your life. You lead and shepherd our church in such wonderful ways and I am proud to say, "That's my husband." I love supporting you and partnering with you in this ministry. I love that we are walking side by side through this journey called life, and I can't imagine it with anyone else but you. I look forward to many more years with you of learning, growing, and loving and I pray that God will continue to bless our marriage. I am excited to see what He has in store for us!
Oh, and as you can see above, my Daviss still makes me laugh!

Don't worry...

Not that you are. But I know that I have been absent on my blog for a while. This homeschooling thing has taken up time that I wasn't prepared for I guess. Then I teach dance 5 hours a week, have church, choir, AWANA, cheerleading, football games, Bible study, babysitting, playgroup, MOPS, women's ministry, Dr.'s appointments, laundry, dishes, groceries, 4 colds, 2 kids, and oh yeah, a nursing infant in there somewhere. (And poor Dave may get a few minutes during the day.) So as soon as I can catch my breath, I will return to my blog. Hopefully this weekend?? After all, I have a lost first tooth and a six-month-old to report on (sorry for the preposition, Sal!). So while my family and I take two much-needed days off and away together on a mini-vacation, pray for rest and relaxation for us, and for a recharging of my spirit. I must say I am slightly worried that at only 4 weeks into the semester, I already need recharging. But I think once I am used to my routine, all will smooth out! So give me a few more days, and I'll see you on the other side- refreshed and renewed!!

First Tastes

Happy 6-Month Birthday to our Sweet Caroline! Today was the day of the first taste of big-girl food- cereal! She seemed to take it pretty well, although we got some great expressions from her. I can't believe she is already 6 months old! (I'll post her official 6 month info later this week.)

Waiting for the first meal...

Ready...

Whoa...

What is this stuff??

Ahh, Yummy!
